“I’m not where I wanna be, but I’m right where I’m suppose to be.” – Floetic Soul
Everything happens for a reason… Ya ya ya.. We’ve all heard that one before. But how many of us actually believe it? Personally, I have not always believed it, but today, I do. So what changed for me? My mind-set changed. For years, I was the queen of negative thinking. Whenever negative things happened in my life, I failed to look on the bright side. Finally, I reached a point where, I had too much passion and too many dreams riding on this: My being content with what I had, where I was, right then and there. I realized that it’s not all about satisfaction. It’s about contentment. Cherishing what you have, especially the negative moments in your life will only make the positive moments soo much sweeter.
Take a moment to think about just how powerful the human mind is. I didn’t say the human brain, I said the mind. Your mind.. your thoughts, meditations.. That’s where it all begins and that is where it all ends. Looking over my life, I see that I have made mistakes and that I have a few regrets. In all honesty, I am not where I wanna be. But where I am, is right where I belong. I believe that everything I’ve gone through was and is for a reason, and even though I don’t know what the future holds, I know it’s something great. How do I know this, well, because I am trusting in God. I know that he holds my future. So this week, I encourage you to join me, as I embrace where I am at this point in my life, surrendering my will to Christ and trusting in him completely. He alone holds my future and everything in it. I encourage you to do the same. Trust God with your life and everything in it.
At this present time and place, I am right where I belong. So are you.
Prayer Starter: Father God, I thank you and praise you for every challenge, struggle and experience I have had in my life. I thank you for being my strength and for helping me get to where I am today. Without you, I could not have made it this far. Today, I cast my cares upon you. I will trust you with my life. I trust you with all of me, because you hold my future. Thank you for loving me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
1 Peter 5:7 – Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
